AAF Tampa Bay Celebrates 2011-2012 ADDY Winners

For Immediate Release TAMPA, FLORIDA, February 27, 2012 – The American Advertising Federation – Tampa Bay (AAF-TB) presented the 2012 ADDY awards Friday night. The theme of the event was “Are You a Freaky Genius?” in recognition of the event’s venue, the Dali Museum. Best of Bay awards went to ChappellRoberts (Mixed Media), The Clear Agency (Public Service), ConMed Linvatec (Elements of Advertising), Dunn&Co (Interactive Media), Pyper Paul + Kenney (Sales Promotion, Collateral Material, Newspaper, Radio, Television, Advertising for the Arts & Sciences and Advertising Industry Self-Promotion), and Tech Data Corporation (Direct Marketing), Gold Local Awards were also presented to Healthesystems and Raymond James Marketing. The prestigious Best of Show award went to Dunn&Co for their ZU Vodka website. Pyper Paul + Kenney received a Special Judges Award for Copywriting for Lexcel Minerals newspaper ad. The big winners of the night were Pyper Paul + Kenney with 60 ADDYs, Dunn&Co with 22, The Clear Agency with 12, and ChappellRoberts with 10 ADDYs. ADDYs were also awarded to area students, with the Student Best of Show going to Casey Moore from the International Academy of Design & Technology and the Pick of the Pros award going to Wesley Fredotovich from Commercial Art Academy @ Tampa Bay Tech High School. AAF-TB President Heather Christman stated “The high caliber of the ADDY entrants this year was impressive.
