Dr. Hayes is a teacher, scholar, and consultant at the University of South Florida specializing in the integration of emerging media into the marketing landscape. Most recently, his work has been in the areas of viral advertising, user-generated advertising, and social gaming branding.
Prior to entering academia (Ph.D., University of Georgia), Hayes spent 6 years in the production side of media in radio and television and 3 years in advertising at the Snowden-Tatarski Agency working on a multinational client's business in various roles. Hayes continues to consult specifically in the area of emerging media marketing.
Hayes currently teaches and researches as a faculty member in the Zimmerman Advertising Program at the University of South Florida and serves on the AAF Tampa Bay Board as Education Co-chair.
